Mark is the lead writer and managing editor of the UN and global affairs blog UN Dispatch. Since he started anchoring UN Dispatch in 2006, the blog has emerged as an authoritative source of news and opinion on international affairs.  He manages a roster of six writers from around the world who offer timely insights on security, human rights, international development, health, global women's issues and climate change.  UN Dispatch is sponsored by the United Nations Foundation.









In 2011, Mark took the helm of Healthy Lives, a blog that offers news on international development and global health from the perspective of Population Services International. Mark founded the health and development morning clips service The Healthy Dose, which is featured daily on Healthy Lives.  After just one year, the site's traffic has grown 10 fold and in March 2012 Healthy Lives was awarded Best Non-Profit blog award by PR News.  





Mark is a regular a guest and host of the popular online video blogging and debate site, BloggingHeads.  He has appeared several dozens of times to offer commentary and to interview experts on topical issues. BloggingHeads has a content partnership with the New York Times online and several of Mark's videos have been featured in the New York Times.
