Meet Mark

Mark Leon Goldberg is a writer, blogger and consultant to several prominent national and international non-profit organizations. He is the editor of the United Nations and global affairs blog UN Dispatch; editor of the global health and international development website PSI Impact; and host of the Global Dispatches Podcast.  In 2011, he co-founded the social enterprise, the Development and Aid World News Service -- DAWNS Digest.  For three years running, he's been named one of Foreign Policy magazine's Top 100 "Twitterati."

From 2004-2006 Mark was a writing fellow at The American Prospect where he wrote numerous articles on foreign policy. Prior to joining the Prospect, Mark was a research assistant at the New America Foundation.  Mark is a senior fellow with Humanity in Action and a proud former Dan Dutko Memorial Foundation Public Policy Fellow.

Mark's work has been featured in the New York Times, The Guardian, The American Prospect, Foreign Policy, The Globe and Mail, The Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, The New Republic, PSI IMPACT, USAID Frontlines, and The Daily Beast. He has appears regularly as an an on-air guest for  Al Jazeera English, National Public Radio, the BBC and HuffPo Live. 

He has a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University.
